Disney on Ice presents Worlds of Enchantment zoomed into El Paso on Wednesday, October 5th, 2016 and let me tell you, it was nothing short of amazing!
Before the show, there was a fun pre-show with Mickey and Minnie where the kiddos were invited to dance along to some cool moves with cheerleaders.
It was a great way to get the kids excited about the journey they were about to go on. They were then joined by Goofy and Donald and had everyone laughing.
We were then transported to the world of Toy Story. It all started with a super cool sequence by the green army men. Andy then took the stage followed by all of the toys. You could hear the kids (and the adults!) shout each of their names as they skated in.
We follow them along to Sunnyside Daycare. It’s really great to see parts of the story played out on the ice. The characters are all so recognizable and look just like themselves in the movie.
One of my favorite scenes is where Barbie is trying to get the pamphlet and key to reset Buzz and unlock her friends. There’s some great music played while Ken is doing a fashion show. I loved it! They also played out the part at the dump where the whole gang is saved by the aliens. I turned and saw my aunt bawling her eyes out. The show is truly for all ages!
After the Toy Story segment, Mickey and Minnie came back to introduce us to a new world, under the sea. The Little Mermaid scene was adorable, I loved it. Throughout the segment, there were bubbles falling from the sky and the youngest was going crazy about them.
This part of the show was pretty short, but it was definitely magical.
Then there was an intermission that was about 15-20 minutes. Team members with snow cones, lemonade, cotton candy, popcorn and toys walked around the stands making it easy for parents who wanted to keep the kiddos in the seats. We got snow cones in Olaf cups and the kids loved them! We also purchased a spinning Mickey toy that lit up for the youngest, it was a HUGE hit.
After the break, the show returned and Mickey and the gang introduced us to a segment with Lightning McQueen, Mater, and Sally. There wasn’t really a story line, but it was really cool to see the characters from Cars racing across the ice.
And then the screams began as Minnie announces a trip to the magical world of Arendelle. You could feel the excitement level go way up! The Frozen segment opened with Anna singing For the First Time in Forever, kiddos throughout the entire coliseum were singing along. That’s when Elsa appeared in the background and there were squeals coming from very, very excited children! It was so magical.
This segment followed the story line pretty well. After Anna ran into Hans and announces their marriage, Elsa freezes Arendelle and snow started to fall over the skating rink. The Let It Go happened. And little girls and boys everywhere were singing along. Adults were singing along. I was singing along.
They go through the rest of the story and the end is great!
Then Mickey and the gang join them for a grand finale that was wonderful!
Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Enchantment didn’t disappoint! It was magical and exciting. The costumes and sets were pretty amazing and so realistic. The show did a great job taking us from world to world, enchanting kids and adults alike. I would highly recommend the show for all families!
