We attended opening night of Disney On Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After here in El Paso and we had a rockin’ good time! The show truly brings out the kid in you! You truly get lost in the magic of Disney and the amazing skills of the performers, especially the acrobatic segment. It’s all so flawless which makes it a must-see show!!
The show starts off with Mickey, Minnie and the gang as they announce a talent-palooza they’re hosting. Then classic Disney character, Pinocchio, comes out followed by Cinderella’s stepsisters Anastasia and Drizella who make the entire crowd laugh with their comedic performance.
Sebastian then is introduced and performs with King Triton’s beautiful daughters, Attina, Aquata, Andrina, Adella, Arista, and Alana.
This was one of my favorite parts of the show because they really rocked it out with the music which included songs like “Vogue,” “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” “We Got The Beat,” and even dance with Mickey to Toni Basil’s one-hit wonder, “Mickey.” After finding Ariel, they take you through the story of The Little Mermaid which is extremely magical and beautiful as they transform the ice into an under the sea spectacular with everything from colorful fish, lovely starfish, and neon jellyfish & sea horses.
At the end of The Little Mermaid segment, Ariel does this incredible and stunning acrobatic performance in the air that was amazing to watch. It was done with such grace, I couldn’t stop watching.
The show continues by taking you through new-age Disney/Pixar movies Tangled and BRAVE, along with the well-known, classic story of Beauty and the Beast.
I was so enchanted by the “Be Our Guest” performance, it was so elegant and they way they were able to bring the inanimate objects to life on the ice was extremely magical. Plus, they used actual fire in the “Kill the Beast” segment and that, too, was incredible.
Each story was an amazing segment of the show. The entire crowd was laughing, ooh-ing & ahh-ing, and singing along. Looking around, you could see all the glowing faces of the children and even most of the adults.
The show ended with a super fun dance segment that included all the characters from the show, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and the Disney Rockstars!
The entire show was great and definitely one you don’t want to miss! It’s a great event for the entire family. Here’s what some of our family and friends had to say about the show:
“I had so much fun at Disney On Ice! I was singing and dancing in my seat throughout the whole show, it was so great! I think everyone should go and enjoy it like I did!”
“I thought the show was absolutely amazing and I loved all the lights and colors from The Little Mermaid set! The tricks Ariel did in the air were awesome. I think this show was even better than the first one I saw. I would definitely like to go again the next time they come.”
