Music and Movement Programs for Little Ones
I have a fun and exciting interview for you all today! Ms. Colleen is El Paso and Ft. Bliss’ KinderJam & BabyJam instructor and today, she’s sharing all about the two programs that keep kiddos active, learning and having fun!
What is KinderJam & BabyJam?
KinderJam is a fun, exciting, and high-energy Music and Movement program that emphasizes the kinesthetic and tactile learning of pre-academic skills and concepts while promoting positive parent engagement. Our classes are taught in a Parent and Me format and designed to enrich children from birth to Kindergarten entry. KinderJam® focuses on introducing and reinforcing basic pre-academic skills in a spirited manner that will capture and hold a little one’s attention from beginning to end.
BabyJam™ is an interactive tickle, giggle, and cuddle class that will strengthen your bond with your baby while stimulating physical and cognitive development by using songs, movement, and colorful manipulatives. BabyJam™ is designed especially for parents and babies (0-18months). This 30 minute class will offer you the opportunity to promote your baby’s learning through music and object exploration and creative movement while creating loving memories.
What ages is KinderJam & Baby Jam geared for?
KinderJam is geared toward children who are 18 months to 5 years old, where as BabyJam is for children who are 0-18 months.
What makes KinderJam so unique?
What makes KinderJam so unique is that we use music to teach preschool skills. We make learning fun for children and parents!
What are the benefits of KinderJam & BabyJam?
In our classes children learn ABC’s, numbers, counting,colors, and how to follow a teacher. Children are never to little to be exposed to these skills.
How has being a KinderJam & BabyJam instructor impacted your life?
Being a KinderJam Instructor/Business owner has been such a blessing in my life. I get so much joy out of giving my classes. I get to watch the kids smile, and be goofy. There are times that I can’t believe that I get paid to play with the children. It also allows me to be there for my own 3 boys when they need me. They always say do what you love and I love teaching KinderJam!
What’s your current class schedule?
The majority of my classes right now are held on Fort Bliss through Cys. Classes for Fort Bliss are: Mondays at 5:30 and 6:15pm, Tuesdays at 9:30,10:30,and 11:30, Wednesdays are BabyJam at 9:30 and then KJ at 10:30, and 11:30. I also hold classes inside of FuntastiCo. Pizza and Games on Thursdays at 9am and 10am. Each class is 45 minutes long. If you have never tried KinderJam we would love to invite you to try 1 class for FREE!
